More than 200 people turned out last Thursday for the Kwinana Coles Careers Night at Kwinana Marketplace.

The event was an opportunity for people in the community to explore career options, with career development group Bridging the Gap on hand to help with applications.

Kwinana MLA Roger Cook also attended the event and said it was important Coles employed local people as it was a new Kwinana store.

“As the Kwinana MP, local jobs are my biggest priority. That’s why I approached Coles to put on the forum,” he said. “By supporting local jobs, Coles will be adding real value to their business. The forum was a great opportunity to hear firsthand about job opportunities at Coles in Kwinana.”
