Clown trio stalks girl

A teenager claims she was ter­rorised by three peo­ple dressed as clowns as she was walk­ing from a bus stop in Bal­divis on Satur­day night.

In an al­leged in­ci­dent thought to have been in­spired by the film adap­ta­tion of Stephen King’s novel It, 16-year-old Ras­tana Baker said that she was scratched on the neck after pulling away when grabbed by one of the trio in clown masks in Bal­divis

he girl said she had been walk­ing along Eighty Road to a friend’s house about 7.15pm when a car stopped and three peo­ple got out wear­ing clown masks and dark cloth­ing.

Sgt An­drew Ma­her said po­lice were con­cerned such ac­tions could lead to a more se­ri­ous in­ci­dent.
