Time for the city to get tough on people and ‘pests’

Southern Telegraph - - News -

Of course the danger of unattended, unleashed dogs cannot be refuted but, in general, most dogs are a pest.

I would doubt that half of the dogs in people’s backyards are exercised and far too many of them bark day and night at anything at all (or nothing at all).

The amount of dog excrement on footpaths is disgusting and owners who persist, when they do walk their dogs, in taking them to the beach should realise that not everyone is pleased to see, hear and to share the company of their dog.

Maybe it’s time for the City to get tough on dogs and their owners.

Remember, the word “pets” is an anagram of “pest”. P. Bradshaw Warnbro
