Pin­jarra too strong for Hill­man in U13 clash

Round 3 of the Peel Ju­nior Cricket As­so­ci­a­tion sea­son got un­der way over the week­end de­spite omi­nous clouds on Satur­day morn­ing.

In the un­der-13s, Pin­jarra ju­niors took on the Hill­man Hor­nets at Mur­ray Coun­try Es­tate in Pin­jarra.

Hill­man bat­ted first and were bowled out for 90, with Matthew Avery top scoring for the Hor­nets with 18 not out, while Taj Mills was the pick of the bowlers for Pin­jarra, tak­ing an im­pres­sive 4-10.

In re­ply, Pin­jarra cruised to 6-137, with Ri­ley Ar­row­smith and Kyan Wop­ereis lead­ing the way with 30 and 24 not out re­spec­tively.

Matthew Whit­tle­ton and Dee­gan Stone were the pick of the bowlers, tak­ing 1-2 and 1-5.

In the un­der-14s, Shoal­wa­ter Bay took on Se­cret Har­bour Dock­ers Pur­ple at Stan Twight Re­serve.

Shoal­wa­ter bat­ted first and posted 8-136 from 32 overs, with Ri­ley Car­rol top scoring with 24 not out.

In re­ply, Shoal­wa­ter bowled Se­cret Har­bour out for 124 thanks to Tyler Gaske (3-29), Joel Richards (2-4) and Ryan Crews (1-6).

On Sun­day morn­ing Warn­bro Swans hosted White Knights Bal­divis at Warn­bro Rec Re­serve.

The Swans bat­ted first and posted 87 thanks to an im­pres­sive 43 not out from Brodie Cheater.

For Bal­divis, Caleb Lan­gan took 3-7, Jordan Crudeli 2-9 and Reid Ste­wart 2-11.

In re­ply, the White Knights cruised to vic­tory at 1-297 thanks to an im­pres­sive 52 from Reid Ste­wart who was sup­ported well by Jordan Crudeli (42no) and Caleb Ram­say (33no).

In the un­der-17s, Halls Head hosted Se­cret Har­bour Dock­ers at Peel­wood Re­serve. Halls Head bat­ted first and posted a solid 189 thanks to 61 from Jack Sears from 33 balls. In re­ply Se­cret Har­bour fell short of the to­tal, be­ing bowled out for 116 from 31 overs.
