Sweat shed for charity
The Rockingham Triathlon Club held the Rockingham Charity Cup last Sunday with athletes working up a sweat along the Rockingham Foreshore for a worthy cause.
Originally known as the Kira Cup, the charity event sees club members raise funds for a selected cause, and this year funds benefited the On My Feet Organisation.
Club members took part in a 21.1km half-marathon event, as well as a 5km and a 10km fun run along the foreshore.
Based on a commitment to running, On My Feet is a notfor-profit organisation providing pathways to education and unemployment to men and women dealing with, or at risk of, homelessness.
Sandy De La Mare, third, Tia Neville, first, and Tracey Schmidt, second, were winners of the women’s 21.1km half-marathon event.
