Snapper’s passion is inspiring

Southern Telegraph - - Opinion - Beata Stasak, Karnup

Thanks to photographer Christian Fletcher for his wonderful exhibition of the “Stories of Our Outback” at the Rockingham Gary Holland Centre.

Christian grew up in Rockingham and it was wonderful to see him come home and share his amazing passion and talent in photography with us all.

The stories describing his photographs have been very moving and his passion for the Australian outback enriched us all.

Christian has shown his utmost care and love for his Australia, especially for the outback, and he believes he can persuade more people to join the Partnership for the Outback — the alliance of conservation organisations which are asking government to create more national parks managed by indigenous rangers.

Certainly he persuaded me to care for the outback more and see its beauty through his eyes. If his vision comes true, the outback will become accessible and cherished by Australians and future generations on a bigger scale.

Thank you Christian you have shown us what it means to be a true blue Australian.
