Hosting Christmas in August

Stanthorpe Border Post - - LIFE - — Paul Campbell

JUST when it seemed things couldn’t get any more outrageous, the Satellite Club invited the host club to spend Christmas (in August) with them.

There were bon bons, Christmas lights, Christmas carols and a feast that left you with a bulging belly just like the real Christmas Day.

Some of the highlights for me were the traditionally corny jokes in the handmade bon bons, the mulled wine from Ballandean Estate and the beautiful roast dinner (thanks Anne, it was amazing). There were also some interesting games and spontaneous carolling to fill out the night.
