Thurs­day, Novem­ber 27, 1997: FOR­MER Queens­land Min­is­ter for Tourism, Small Busi­ness and In­dus­try, Bruce David­son, de­clared 1997 a “wa­ter­shed year” for the Queens­land wine in­dus­try. Vine­yards were on the up, wine tourism was boom­ing and Queens­land wines were win­ning big, in­clud­ing Sev­ern Brae Es­tate in Sev­ern­lea.

Tues­day, Novem­ber 27, 2007: NA­TION­ALS mem­ber Bruce Scott was re-elected to the fed­eral seat of Mara­noa de­spite a favourable swing to the La­bor Party. ALP can­di­date Mike Bathersby helped La­bor pick up a swing of 8.2 per cent on a two party pre­ferred ba­sis. Kevin Rudd romped home to be elected Prime Min­is­ter.

Tues­day, Novem­ber 27, 2012: TROU­BLE­MAK­ERS were put on no­tice following the in­stal­la­tion of 13 new se­cu­rity cam­eras across the Stan­thorpe CBD. Af­ter ad­vo­cat­ing for the cam­eras for sev­eral years, Stan­thorpe Safety Ad­vi­sory Com­mit­tee chair David En­ter­mann was thrilled by the an­nounce­ment.
