Local police speak at meeting

Stanthorpe Border Post - - LIFE -

THE Probus meeting for November featured two outstanding guest speakers from Stanthorpe Police.

John Thomson spoke on traffic flow and driving in a responsible and in a considerate manner, with respect and pre-empting other drivers and cars on the road.

Gerard Brady informed us on recent break-ins in Stanthorpe, what criminals were looking for and how we can best prevent it from happening in our own homes.

He also explained how serious drugs are and what to do in an emergency.

Both speakers were very informative and entertaining. Well done.

A lot of behind-thescenes work was done this month in preparation for our Christmas Feast on Friday.

Everyone is looking forward to it as it will be a wonderful occasion with great food, entertainment and gifts.

Also, we have started working on the Probus Float for the Apple and Grape Festival next year.

Plans are completed and printing and artwork is well under way.
