Open Day

Stanthorpe Border Post - - NEWS|YOUR SAY -

I AM planning to attend the Open Day on Saturday, December 9, at Churches of Christ Care, Villa Carramar in Alice St, Stanthorpe, between 10am and 2pm.

There will be tours of the new extension, activities, entertainment and a free barbecue lunch. I believe this will be a perfect opportunity to observe the day-to-day workings of Carramar. Since the aged care facility changed from the local management committee to Churches of Christ Care, I have heard people express some concern. This will give everyone an opportunity to check the place out and if necessary discuss any concerns with management.

There may be some who may be considering a placement at the facility for themselves or family, this day will provide a perfect opportunity to look around.

Personally I often think I will call and see people I know who live at Carramar but never quite make the effort to visit, for me the open day provides the opportunity to catch up with friends. I trust a large number of Stanthorpians will join with me on the day. — Denise Ingram
