Free classes at the Stan­thorpe Fit­ness Cen­tre dur­ing Fe­bru­ary

SNEAK­ERS and leg­gings are all the rage this Fe­bru­ary with Stan­thorpe Fit­ness Cen­tre of­fer­ing free fit­ness classes for the month of Fe­bru­ary.

Par­tic­i­pants can try out each of the classes once for free, to get a taste for what suits them best.

The fit­ness cen­tre of­fers a large range of classes with ev­ery­thing from cross train­ing to Tai Chi.

Fit­ness in­struc­tor Lynette Tor­risi said there was a class to suit ev­ery fit­ness level and ev­ery age group.

She said for ma­ture peo­ple Heart Fit and Rage­ing Age­ing were the most pop­u­lar.

“In­ter­me­di­ates could prob­a­bly go with weights and bal­ance or gym cir­cuit – which can also be for be­gin­ners.”

Early morn­ing classes are more ad­vanced and tend to be on the faster side in­clud­ing car­dio class and punch fit.

Spin bikes were also on the more ad­vanced end.

“You don’t have to be su­per fit to join spin, you can just go at your own pace.”

She said any­one was was wel­come to try out any of the classes.

“Most classes you can lit­er­ally go at your own pace.”

The classes all last for an hour and are on Mon­day to Fri­day morn­ings and evenings.

“Any­body can start at any pace, at any class,” she said.

“You’ve got to start from some­where.

“It doesn’t mat­ter what level of fit­ness you are, any­one can come along.”
