Dress up and take a walk on spooky side

Stanthorpe Border Post - - WHAT’S ON LIFE -

THERE are only 20 more sleeps until the scariest event of the year in Stanthorpe – the Spooky Walk.

Get ready to take part in ghoulish activities and collect treats while doing each of the fun events.

Rotary Satellite Club chair Ann Richardson said the event was unique to Stanthorpe.

“While it sounds a bit like Halloween with families getting dressed in costume to collect treats at each activity along the Spooky Walk around the creek, it isn’t really the intent of what we are doing,” she said.

“A Frozen or Superhero costume will be just as relevant.

“Spooky Walk is actually designed for parents to

spend time with their children in a safe place doing fun things together.

“It is affordable with entry at just $5 per child.

“We have simple food for sale for a quick family dinner at Spooky Alley Café and the children go home with fun memories and a bag of treats collected along the way.”

Spooky Walk starts at 5.30pm from the Folkstone Street park on Wednesday, October 31. Parking is available in Creek Street.
