Men steal ute, cut owner

A TUART HILL man needed stitches to his wrist af­ter he was at­tacked and had his ute stolen by three or four men out­side his home on July 20.

He heard a noise out­side his house about mid­night and saw that a ve­hi­cle had crashed into the back of his Holden util­ity.

Go­ing out­side, he was as­saulted by the men, one of whom was be­lieved to have been armed with a bladed weapon.

He was cut in the wrist dur­ing the strug­gle.

He was also threat­ened, and asked to hand over his car keys which he did. The of­fend­ers then drove off in the vic­tim’s ute.

The man made his own way to hos­pi­tal to get the wound stitched be­fore alert­ing po­lice just be­fore 5am.
