City confiscates 40 illegal election signs
ABOUT 40 local government candidate signs have been confiscated by the City of Stirling in the election campaign so far.
Election material including signs are not allowed on public land and can only be placed on private land with the permission of the landowner. On any reserve or other land or building of the City of Stirling. Adjacent to any active public open space or City of Stirling building. On a carriageway, dividing strip, traffic island, or roundabout, within 50 metres of a signalised intersection. Within six metres of any uncontrolled intersection. On any existing traffic sign or street naming sign.
