Back-to-back losses mar away games

Stirling Times - - Sport - with Toni Farnworth

WELCOME back for another Lynx update.

Following a short turnaround from our first game against Sydney, the team assembled at Perth Airport on Wednesday for our first away games of the season.

Our road trip started in Adelaide, where we took on the Lightning on Thursday night.

The game was very even in the opening quarter and continued strong for the girls, who led by 10 points at half-time.

Hometown girl Alex Ciabbattoni put on a great performance off the bench to have 11 points at the half.

Unfortunately, the second half did not go to plan, as Adelaide came up with the clutch baskets to close out the game 89-81.

The second game saw us make our way to Bendigo to play a televised game against the Spirit on Saturday afternoon.

Our luck did not change during the game, with Bendigo’s offence proving too potent; the final score 106-71.

Next up we play Bendigo again at 6.30pm on Thursday.

We will be looking to redeem our result from the weekend and hope to have a great crowd at the Bendat Basketball Center.

See you all there!
