Stirling Times - - News -

Major works on the Scarborough Beach redevelopment project are now complete. The new Snake Pit featuring a skate bowl, skate parks, climbing wall and half basketball court has proved a huge hit with the community since it opened in mid-March.

The Lotterywest Whale Playground continues to entertain young beachgoers and all areas of the foreshore such as roads, carparks, promenades, toilets, showers, picnic areas and exercise equipment are now open. Six new public artworks have also been added to the beachfront. The upper levels of the surf club building are the final part of the project set for completion in early May 2018.

The City recently showed Tourism WA Marketing Managers around the new-look beachfront and all were impressed with the results and the opportunity to promote it overseas.
