A WOODLANDS couple recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.
The City of Stirling presented Betty and Ian Campbell with a plaque to commemorate their wedding, which was held on September 20, 1958. Wembley resident Jim Hardisty marked his 101st birthday recently with a trishaw ride with his wife along the coast. Mr Hardisty was the first centenarian to ride in the threewheeled bicycle operated by the non-profit Cycling Without Age group.
He and his wife met at a ball at St John’s Hall, Scarborough, when Patricia was a teenager and married three years later at that same hall.
They have lived at Wembley Mercy Village since 2007 and celebrated the 101st surrounded by their family.
Jim and and Patricia Hardisty are steered on the trishaw by Alanagh Godderidge.
