Teenager walks the miles to help sick chil­dren have more fun

DOUBLEVIEW teen Dy­lan Moy­ses thinks it “sucks” that kids get sick.

The healthy 12-year-old lad will walk 40km from Fre­man­tle to Scar­bor­ough and back on Satur­day, Oc­to­ber 20 to raise money for Telethon.

Mum Chelsey said her son didn’t know any sick kids and she asked him why he wanted to raise money for Telethon.

He said “they are kids who should just be able to have fun, it sucks that they have to be sick”.

The New­man Col­lege stu­dent started rais­ing money for Telethon a few years ago by door­knock­ing in his neigh­bour­hood and last year he walked 20km from Fre­man­tle to Scar­bor­ough, and de­cided he needed to go fur­ther this year.

The fam­ily at­tend Telethon ev­ery year to hand over the money.
