Oh the seasonal chill of Toowoomba! It’s a unique city we live in, one our Melbourne friends understand but our tropical friends down the highway in Brisbane fail to always grasp. An actual winter in Queensland... gasp! My favourite part of winter in this city is early morning walks through Queens Park with tendrils of fog coiling around my ankles — eerie and beautiful. Our June edition is perfect to snuggle up on the couch with as you enjoy this month’s Urban Winter Rose fashion shoot featuring local ladies (p10-11). In this edition we celebrate the women’s rugby sevens teams that have sprung up on the Downs since our Aussie women won gold at the Rio Olympics (p16). We also chat with Gyton Grantley who stars in the Don’t Tell movie, set in Toowoomba (p14), and meet some locals driving Toowoomba’s collaborative fashion scene (p21,24,25).
