MID-YEAR SCHOOL MOTIVATION

Style Magazine - - Mid-year Makeover - BY ELLIE HUGHES

After half a year of studying already it can be hard to find the drive to keep doing well in school for the rest of the year.

To help combat your study apathy here are three of the easiest ways to find some motivation.

SET GOALS

Setting goals for yourself gives you a focus and a point to strive towards.

It’s much easier to find motivation when you know what you want to do, rather than floundering towards nothing.

Make lists about what you want, how you’re going to achieve it and reward yourself when you accomplish your goals.

LISTEN TO MUSIC

Having a motivational playlist is the simplest way to find your inspiration for whatever you’re doing.

Appropriately picked music incites positive emotions, so find the songs that motivate you most and listen to them while you’re studying or preparing yourself for school.

HAVE A FRESH START

It’s halfway through the year, which is an important milestone and perfect place to start fresh.

Having a new beginning gives a burst of energy and a chance to forget past failures.

Make your fresh start real by getting a new set of stationery or blank notebooks for your course work.

This gives tangible presence to an otherwise symbolic idea.
