SPRING FASHION SEASON TRENDS

- BY BELLA ROSE

Spring is here, which means it’s time for some fresh and fabulous spring fashion.

The trending styles this season are bright and bold, stripes are back with more verve, feminine florals, shades of blue, bright neons and fabulous frills.

When it comes to colours, fuchsia, scarlet, magenta, and just about any other tone of warm pink and purple as well as shades of blue and pastel colours, are all trending.

This spring is the season to show your true colours and express yourself through what you wear.

According to glamour.com this spring’s most important trend is to ‘embrace femininity on your own terms’.

This means fashion’s new take on shameless feminine clothes are commanding, comfortable and very cool.

From jacquard florals with ruffles to floral suits with raw hems paired with a pair of striped shoes, there is nothing standard about this spring’s fashion.

Mix and match is the way to go – it does sound daunting, but don’t be afraid.

A strict colour palette will assist when mixing and matching but if that doesn’t work for you, try to accessorise to the max.

Keeping things casual, layer up – a sheer slip or shirt dress over a pair of your favourite jeans and a top.

When it comes to shoes, emphasis on the ankle.

This means anything from little heel with ruffles to a little ballet flat with buckles.

Take your basic jeans and top outfit to a whole new level by adding some bright coloured satin-style heels.

Instantly lifting your mood, ranging from low-key orange flats to super feminine pink heels, the brightly coloured shoes are a big winner for this spring’s fashion.

Accessorise with the season’s best shades of blue, from light sky blue to dark denim blue, a little blue shoulder bag to go with your new spring outfit, or some little blue earrings.

With such a colourful and bright fashion season, it is important to know how to accessorise properly, and a pair of neutral coloured shoes works best with a very bright dress.
