Sunday Herald Sun - Body and Soul - - YOU & YOURS -

Q My boyfriend is happy to talk about anything – except my feelings. Then he gets very uncomfortable. What can I do?

AMen hate seeing their women unhappy. Most men think that if they can fix the cause of their partner’s unhappiness, things will return to normal and she’ll be happy again. Many men don’t realise that feelings can’t be fixed; they can only be shared with someone who doesn’t reach for his tool kit but will listen, commiserate and empathise. Then she feels that she is connecting with a friend.
