WHY WOMEN ARE THE stronger SEX

Sunday Herald Sun - Body and Soul - - NEWS -

Women have a stronger immune system and a better chance of resisting infections than men, according to a new study conducted by scientists at Queen Mary, University of London. Researchers examined a group of male and female mice and discovered that females had double the number of diseasefighting white cells.

Lead researcher Dr Ramona Scotland says males simply don’t release as many of the chemicals that stimulate the immune system response when ill. Females were also better at combating bacteria and scientists say this may explain why women are better at soldiering on when they’re sick.
