Now there’s no ex­cuse for say­ing ‘no’ when your other half asks for a mas­sage. You’ll get just as Zen as they will, a study by re­searchers at Northum­bria Univer­sity in the UK shows. They stud­ied 19 cou­ples who did a three-week mas­sage course and found both giv­ing and re­ceiv­ing a mas­sage re­duced stress and helped them cope with life’s ups and downs. “Mas­sage can be a sim­ple and ef­fec­tive way for cou­ples to im­prove their phys­i­cal and men­tal well­be­ing while show­ing af­fec­tion for one an­other,” lead au­thor Sayuri Naruse says.
