BE SMOKE-FREE

Sunday Herald Sun - Body and Soul - - HEALTH -

“Smoking is the worst thing a person can do for their health,” Jennings says. “As far as your heart goes, toxins in cigarette smoke damage the arteries, causing heart disease. Smokers aged between 45 and 64 are three times more likely to die, predominantly from cardiovascular disease, as non-smokers but quitting at the age of 30, 40 or 50 gives an extra 10, 9 or 6 years of life respectively.”
