THE GOPRO THAT CAME BACK

Sunday Herald Sun - Escape - - YOUR VIEW -

Last year I lost my GoPro off the side of a kayak in the ocean in the Greek islands and after almost 12 full months underwater someone found it and posted a photograph on a travel company page.

The photo was shared by 163 people and it reached me in 18 hours from the original post. The person who found my GoPro is now uploading and sending lost travel photos back to me. COURTNEY FITZGERALD

SAVE IN SWITZERLAND

When travelling in notoriously expensive Switzerland with a family have a look at the Swiss pass. It allows extensive, clean, efficient and super panoramic travel on buses, trains, boats and funicular all over the country, and the best bit is that children under 16 travel free. ZIP IT

I always travel with small zip ties. They are handy in so many ways, such as securing zips and making running repairs. On a recent trip to Japan, a wheel on my roller luggage began to delaminate so I secured it with zip ties and it lasted for the rest of the trip. PETER MEREDITH
