SAMANTHA HARRIS FOUND her way to fashion as a national finalist in a magazine model search in 2004, but it was a few years before she felt comfortable in the role.

“Working with different photographers is not easy when you are in your mid-teens,” she says. “At 19, with several shoots under my belt, I started to think, ‘I’ve got this.’”

She now hopes to follow in the footsteps of one of our biggest exports – Elle Macpherson.

“She’s had a long career and an unconventional approach to what a model can do. She’s developed her own business and was one of the first models to be appointed a brand ambassador – and she is still stunningly beautiful.”
