It’s often said that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. But when the beholder happens to be a modelling scout or famed fashion photographer, then beauty isn’t so much a subjective quality as it is the basis of a financially lucrative and globetrotting vocation. The 37 genetically blessed Australians who grace the pages of Stellar’s Legends of the Catwalk this week all have one thing in common: they have managed to build a business out of being beautiful. At some point, of course, even the most glittering of careers will be surpassed by even greater priorities. As Miranda Kerr tells Jordan Baker in our cover story, she feels she has accomplished all she wants from modelling and has now shifted her focus to the domestic front. It’s a balance many a working parent can relate to, including Tim Cahill, with the soccer great telling sports writer Jessica Halloran that family always comes first. And that’s a sentiment every beholder would surely agree is a beautiful one. Sarrah
