Whether a particular entertainer is considered a “household name” varies from one household to another. Depending on the demographic of those assembled in the living room each evening, the cast of Game of Thrones might qualify as superstars while in other homes the honour of household name is reserved for the members of The Wiggles. To millions of Australians of a certain age, entertainers don’t get any more famous than Emma Watkins and Lachlan Gillespie, AKA the Yellow and Purple Wiggle. And they’re not just instantly familiar to pint-sized fans, with parents who chaperone their offspring to concerts and overhear DVDS on endless repeat also well-acquainted with the work of the fab four of the children’s entertainment world. In a unique nod to both their young and old followers, Stellar has photographed the newly married Watkins and Gillespie basking in their domestic bliss while dressed in their signature yellow and purple colours. It’s a surprising yet stylish glimpse into a household comprised of two household names.
