2016, $35 Hail­ing from the Clare Val­ley, this is the first ex­am­ple of this crisp, saline Greek white grape va­ri­ety made in Aus­tralia. It’s beau­ti­ful to drink, fine and frisky, bright with le­mony tang. Out­stand­ing with moussaka and kasundi-spiced sal­ads.

ROSÉ GRIS DE GRIS 2016, $12 Wow, this is in­cred­i­ble value. This fetch­ingly pretty rosé sits in the dry and savoury camp, and tastes like an adult ver­sion of wa­ter­melon juice. That said it has enough grav­i­tas to com­ple­ment the hearty, win­try veg­etable dishes on th­ese pages.
