You were a con­tes­tant on The Big­gest Loser, and then host. Is it nice to just watch those work­outs, and not ac­tu­ally do them?

Re­turn­ing as host was in­cred­i­ble. But I will ad­mit I ac­tu­ally miss that in­tense, all or noth­ing kind of train­ing. Now I have to pay some­one to make me sweat like that!

Do you ever have trau­matic flash­backs in­volv­ing burpees?

I won’t lie, burpees are my least favourite ex­er­cise. I still do them, I just don’t have a trainer try­ing to sit on me like when I was on the show.

As a con­stant trav­eller, what’s the one thing we’d al­ways find in your car­ryon?

A pair of big fluffy socks.

You will be run­ning the Syd­ney Har­bour 10km next week. True or false: the first 9.5kms are the worst, and then it’s fine?

False! I think the whole 10 will be a strug­gle, but I fo­cus on putting one step in front of the other to get me to the end. Fiona Falkiner runs the Real In­sur­ance Syd­ney Har­bour 10km on July 9.
