SHORT & SWEET

Sunday Herald Sun - Stellar - - News - with JAN FRAN

Hosting a news show is pretty demanding. How’s your sleep cycle and washing pile to-do list? Sleep cycle is great. As for the washing pile, it’s called a husband. Keeping up with current affairs is part of the job. How long after waking up do you check your phone? No screens in the bedroom is my rule, so within 60 minutes. Smart. Because checking Twitter in bed can be dangerous. How many times have you dropped your phone on your face from a height? Around five, but that was before my no screens policy so it doesn’t count. Talking phone etiquette, any personal peeves? Facetiming in restaurants? I have a Lebanese mother who will answer phone calls anytime, anywhere, using the highest vocal volume employed by humans. We can’t find you on Instagram. Are you an Insta-resister? I’m @jan__fran and I need more followers so I can seem popular. Tell your friends. Jan Fran hosts The Feed, 7.30pm weeknights, on SBS Viceland.
