New en­try at Tan­der­rum Bridge

The Aus­tralian Open and Melbourne CBD have quite lit­er­ally be­come closer with a new en­try point at Tan­der­rum Bridge, pro­vid­ing a seam­less link from Bir­rarung Marr to Melbourne Park. Ten­nis fans will be geared up to ex­pe­ri­ence Aus­tralian Open 2017 in a whole new way, get­ting “fan ready” at the bridge en­try with face paint to sup­port their favourite play­ers and to map out their day.

The Rod Laver Arena fore­court en­trance is no longer open for the gen­eral pub­lic.


Aus­tralian Open ticket hold­ers can take a free tram shut­tle on route 70 from the CBD to Rod Laver Arena and Hisense Arena.


Take ser­vices to Rich­mond, mond, Flin­ders St and Jolimont sta­tions, all within walk­ing dis­tance of Melbourne Park.


A taxi rank is lo­cated on the north side of Olympic Boule­vard, ad­ja­cent to Grand Slam Oval.

Pick up/ Drop off

Des­ig­nated ar­eas on the north side of Olympic Boule­vard.

For peo­ple with a dis­abil­ity or spe­cial needs, a zone is on Olympic Boule­vard out the front of Hisense Arena.

Pub­lic park­ing

Yarra Park via Gate 3 for day and night ses­sions and Gate 5 for day ses­sions only.
