Phillip Capital Sharebrokers

Sunday Herald Sun - - Opinion -

BHP BILLITON (BHP) Following a robust production report and sharp price rises for the minerals it mines, its profit report in a few weeks’ time should be most impressive. $27.52 RIO TINTO (RIO) Its recent production report was also impressive and the skyrocketing iron ore price augurs well for its profit result also due soon. $67.85

IRESS TECHNOLOGY (IRE) This financial services information provider keeps on performing well. Expectations of future profit growth remain favourable. $11.50 COMPUTERSHARE (CPU) This share registry business should benefit from a stronger $US, increasing US interest rates, and its international diversification. $12.90

VOCUS (VOC) Slumped in share price following the announcement of its NextGen acquisition. Also AGM talk did not inspire confidence about regaining momentum. $4.15 DULUX (DLX) Failed to gain traction in the previous robust housing construction and renovation market. In the current environment it’s hard to see a marked reversal in fortune. $6.10
