Helliar is the host of CRAM, which started filming in Sydney yesterday.
CRAM will see two teams of comedians and celebrities test their memory across a series of general knowledge and current affairs categories.
Each category will be introduced with a “cram”: a brief video on any subject.

“I was not looking to necessarily add anything to my schedule so I am cramming it in to use a bad pun,” Helliar said. “They (10) approached me and I played the game with my kids and my wife and we were addicted straight away. It was fun and we were laughing.” Helliar said hosting a game show had never been part of his “must do” list. “I did Celebrity Family Feud last year and after seeing what a job that he does and what a pro that he is, I just assumed that any more game shows on Channel 10 would all be hosted by Grant Denyer. “I did not even think there would an opening for anyone. But I am glad they called.”
