Rory misses cut again
RORY McIlroy heads into next week’s British Open on the back of a third missed cut in four events as his poor form continued at Dundonald in the Scottish Open.
Three-time major winner Padraig Harrington (68) was at nine-under par and shared the second-round lead yesterday with German Alexander Knappe (65) and England’s Callum Shinkwin (68).
Australia’s Andrew Dodt and Englishman Ian Poulter fired rounds of 69 to be one shot off the pace.
American Rickie Fowler (70) was in a trio at seven- under while Adam Scott slipped to 15th, to sit alongside fellow Australian Jason Scrivener at four-under par.
The 2013 Masters champion Scott carded a 71 but Scrivener moved up the leaderboard with a 68, helped by four birdies in seven holes. AMERICAN Patrick Rodgers shot a seven-under 64 yesterday to take a two-shot lead after the second round of the US PGA Tour event in Illinois.
Australia’s contingent was led by Greg Chalmers who fired a 68 to be five under and tied for 29th. Cameron Percy (69) was at four under.
