A big hit with the travel clique

Sunday Herald Sun - - News -

SHE’S the face that launched a million internet searches and stares down from every train station in London.

Gabrielle Miller, an Australian performance artist, has become an internet sensation after starring in a massive TV and print campaign by hotel search site Trivago.

An actor, dancer and theatre performer, Miller is now familiar to millions of people with her ads on air across the UK, Australia, Ireland, New Zealand, the US and South Africa, and has previously been on air in India.

And she landed the gig after filming an audition video on a nudist beach in Greece.

While she was clothed, she said the trick was to avoid the “bare bottoms” in the background.

Miller, who lives in Berlin, said she was recognised “for the first time last week in Lon- don, which I found hilarious and a bit shocking too”.

She left Australia nearly five years ago to study at a physical theatre school in Berlin and fell in love with the city, making it her home.

Miller, born in Coffs Harbour, said her family in Australia enjoyed seeing her on TV.

“I’m off in Europe most of the time doing these strange things — in their minds — and then here I am on TV.’’
