Stellar magazine draws readers to Sunday Herald Sun
THE Sunday Herald Sun has again cemented its place as Victoria’s best Sunday newspaper with 913,000 people reading us every week.
The latest readership figures reveal Victorians continue to turn to our journalism aimed at celebrating and helping the families of Victoria.
“The Sunday Herald Sun is the newspaper of choice for Victorians,’’ Sunday Herald Sun editor Nick Papps said.
“From our Fair Go for Families campaigns to our uplifting stories that make you smile and proud to be Victorian, the Sunday Herald Sun loves serving this great state.’’
The July figures from EMMA — Enhanced Media Metrics Australia — show strong readership across Sunday Herald Sun liftouts, magazines and our in-depth sports coverage.
The Sunday Herald Sun’s flagship glossy magazine Stellar increased its readership by 9000 in Victoria to 347,000.
Our Gossip Queen Fiona Byrne continues to be the destination for the best celeb news with Fiona’s two-page section increasing its readership by 24,000 in the past 12 months, while our TV guide grew its readership by 9000.
Mr Papps said Stellar magazine had become an integral part of Victorians’ Sundays.
“This stunning magazine has the finest writing, best images and a must-read food section with Delicious,’’ he said.
“From Hollywood A-listers such as Nicole Kidman to the best local stars like Michelle Payne and Bec Maddern, Stellar is the magazine the biggest names want to be in.’’
Mr Papps said the latest figures also showed an increased readership of the newspaper’s bumper sports section, with readership growing by 3000 in the past three months as the footy season headed towards the finals.
The Sunday Herald Sun’s average readership of 913,000 every Sunday is almost 350,000 more people than watched Friday night’s AFL semi-final on Channel Seven between Geelong and Swans, which had an average Melbourne audience of 576,000 people.
