One of the great clichés is the ‘highs and lows of rac­ing’ and Damian Lane lived that yes­ter­day. There was grave con­cern when he crashed to the ground on Lime­stone in the clos­ing stages of the Dane­hill Stakes. But the gun jockey bounced back to his feet from the in­ci­dent, as did the horse. Lane shook off any after-ef­fects to win the next two races at big odds on Sword Of Light and Hu­mi­dor.
