Zane Camp­bell con­ducts Core-Flex classes at Syd­ney’s Jock Ath­letic gym. He shares his top five rea­sons why stay­ing flex­i­ble will put you on the path to im­proved fit­ness.

“If you don’t stretch, the ten­dons, lig­a­ments and mus­cles shorten. Stretch­ing keeps those mus­cles elas­tic and de­creases joint pain and stress,” says Camp­bell, who is the sprint coach for South Syd­ney Rab­bitohs and a for­mer na­tional beach sprint cham­pion.
