SEAWEED: THE NEW SALT?

Sunday Mail - Body and Soul - - NEWS -

Eating bread with seaweed instead of salt will help our hearts and our waistlines, and our tastebuds may be none the wiser. A recent UK study found consumers couldn’t tell when their bread contained seaweed instead of salt. Seaweed contains a fraction of the sodium found in regular salt, and earlier studies have shown that seaweed’s fibre content also reduces the amount of fat absorbed by the body by 75 per cent.
