Two Har­vard Univer­sity stud­ies span­ning 30 years found that peo­ple who ate a hand­ful of nuts a day were 29 per cent less likely to die of heart dis­ease. The com­bi­na­tion of fi­bre, un­sat­u­rated fats and vi­ta­mins in nuts may ex­plain their heart-health ben­e­fits.
