Before rejoining b+s a few weeks ago, I was news editor of a parenting website. On at least a weekly basis my team would report on yet another horrific domestic violence situation in which a mother or child was hurt or killed by a partner or family member. Our readers would be shocked, our columnists would write powerful stories calling for change and we’d be prepared for the next gut-wrenching story of a family and a community being ripped apart by another domestic violence death. This Wednesday is White Ribbon Day, when the onus of this plague on our society is shouldered by men. Read our story on page 6 and let’s talk to the men in our lives.
