Meg Lanning (cover) led the Aussie cricket team to Ashes victory, national netball team the Diamonds snatched the World Cup, the Matildas (soccer) went further in their World Cup than their man counterparts ever have and who can forget jockey Michelle Payne’s ride into Melbourne Cup history? Yep, 2015 was the pinnacle for women in sport. But when it comes to remunerating our professional sportspeople of the female persuasion or even watching their feats on TV, that’s where it remains less something to crow about.
