Kiwi result still in limbo
NEW Zealanders still don’t know who will next lead their country after a final vote count from the general election two weeks ago tightened the result.
Officials yesterday finished the final 17 per cent of the vote from people living overseas.
Negotiations to form the next government will now begin in earnest.
The National Party ended with 44 per cent of the vote, while the liberal bloc of the Labour Party and the Green Party had a combined 43 per cent.
