Kiwi re­sult still in limbo

NEW Zealan­ders still don’t know who will next lead their coun­try af­ter a fi­nal vote count from the gen­eral elec­tion two weeks ago tight­ened the re­sult.

Of­fi­cials yes­ter­day fin­ished the fi­nal 17 per cent of the vote from peo­ple liv­ing over­seas.

Ne­go­ti­a­tions to form the next gov­ern­ment will now be­gin in earnest.

The Na­tional Party ended with 44 per cent of the vote, while the lib­eral bloc of the Labour Party and the Green Party had a com­bined 43 per cent.
