Going nowhere

CBD traffic restrictions caused by tram track works meant that my No.142 bus spent 12 minutes stationary in Pulteney St on Monday.

The driver finally decided to swing right into Rundle St rather than sit there trying to get to North Tce.

And other buses are also taking alternative routes to avoid the mess. It’s been like this all week. What a stuff-up.

The chaos and lack of planning has been lamentable and the Transport Department says traffic should avoid North Tce but all roads in from the north and east are the same!

I even noticed police cars caught up in the logjam. It’s a pity they didn’t get out and direct traffic like they used to back in the day. KIM HORSNELL

Sadly, it is facing the wrecking ball to help pay for the new Royal Adelade Hospital. For many years, The Repat has been a specialist mainstay for so many people.

The closure will have enormous consequences for the remaining hospital system in SA.

It would surely make good common sense to delay a decision until after the state election in March.
