I HAVE been living in my heritage-listed 106-year-old Joslin home for 49 years respecting and following the heritage planning rules, including getting approval just to repaint my house.
Next door, aged-care provider Life Care has proposed a seven-storey, 24mhigh tower after initially releasing plans for threestorey development.
This application was allowed because of Planning Minister John Rau’s recent changes in rules and does not respect the local heritage.
I urge him to reconsider this project and the effect it will have on the historic nature of the suburb. TONY Di GIOVANNI
