Kevin rocks on – and into town

Sunday Mail - - CONFIDENTIAL -

AUSTRALIANS love nothing more than claiming the best things to come out of New Zealand – pavlova, flat whites, Phar Lap and, of course, Kevin Borich.

And while the classic rocker might not be cutting quite the chiseled figure as shown in this amazing pic from the ’70s, right, he’s still in the running for the “most handsome 70-year-old in rock and roll” award.

To celebrate this birthday milestone, along with the 40th anniversary of his classic solo debut album Celebration, Borich is rolling into Adelaide for one night at the German Club on Friday night. With special guests Rockin’ Rob Riley, Chris Finnen and Rob Pippan in tow (and perhaps a couple of other surprises), the Celebration tour will mark a career spanning five decades and the wild ride that goes along with it. This is sure to be an unmissable night of definitive Australian rock’n’roll.

Borich’s last Adelaide show sold out, so grab a ticket at Oztix.

WILD RIDE: Evergreen bluesman Kevin Borich will mark his five decades in the music business with a concert at the German Club on Friday night.
