IF you reckon your footy club en­dured some pain this year, then coun­try footy his­to­rian Peter Lines sug­gests the West Coast Hawks are most likely do­ing it even tougher.

Play­ing in the Mid West league, the Hawks have been the dom­i­nant club of the com­pe­ti­tion, hav­ing played in the past 14 grand fi­nals. But their most re­cent flag was 2014 — mean­ing they’ve lost four straight pre­mier­ship de­ciders.
