STROKES OF GENIUS
SOUTH Australian rowing identities enjoyed a strong showing at the sport’s national awards dinner last weekend. The Australian men’s four, stroked by Adelaide’s Alex Hill, was awarded men’s crew of the year, while fellow South Australian Molly Goodman won the corresponding honour as stroke of the champion women’s four. Hill’s crew won back-to-back world championships this year, while Goodman’s crew won silver. Also recognised was Brett Ralph, who won Volunteer of the Year for his service as an umpire and boat race official in SA, as well as at National and International Regattas.
